About Me

First and foremost, I'm a stay at home mom to four beautiful little kids and I'm a wife of almost 10 years to the love of my life.  We live 15 minutes from the beach in the good ol' sunshine state, and I'm loving every minute of life.  It can be hectic, crazy, and sometimes even a little chaotic...but it's our life.

Running around for baseball games, planning and cooking meals, daily homework, housework, and everything in between leaves little time for myself.  But that's the life I chose.  I wouldn't trade any of it for anything in the world.  Taking care of my family is my number one priority in life.  Without them, I wouldn't be who I am today.  I am forever thankful and grateful that I can spend each and every day with the ones I love.

I have an obsession with Pinterest. I am constantly looking for new ways to spruce up my home, make a new meal for dinner, or find a good use for those darn soup cans I have stored away in my closet.

If I could hire anyone for any job in the world, it would be for someone to fold my laundry. I despise it and it makes me so very sad to know this job will never, NEVER come to an end.   Yes, my kids will eventually grow up and leave the nest but I'm pretty sure my husband doesn't even know how to turn our washing machine on.

During the year I pretty much have the same schedule, daily. But come the holiday season you'll probably find me cutting out dozens of paper hearts, making a thankful tree, planning a festive dinner, or ridiculously making outfits for our Elf on the Shelf. After all, he IS a part of our family.

I feel the need to try out new recipes all the time but it seems like I do that on days where I'm extremely starving. Only to find out, it doesn't look like the Pinterest picture. And I'm pretty sure it shouldn't smell like that. There have been times where we've eaten cereal instead of eating the balsamic chicken with pearl onions in a white wine cream sauce. Why I would make a 5 star meal for kids who eat boogers is beyond me. But ya live and learn right?

I'm a health and fitness addict.  My "me" time is when I workout everyday.  That's the time I get to spend working on myself and making myself fitter, stronger and healthier so I can keep up with my rambunctious monkeys.  I've been to a gym one time, watched perfect bodies lift heavier weights than I ever could, ran on the treadmill for ten minutes, and left. It just wasn't for me.  So I began investing in Beachbody workouts and began working out from home.  I love being able to go around my kids' schedules and workout when it's convenient for me.  My husband owns a local business here in our town so his schedule doesn't exactly leave a lot of free time for me to head to a gym anyway.  And who wants to go workout at night?  That's my time to unwind from the busyness of the day, spend time with my husband....and actually take a shower!

I'll admit.  I enjoy meal prep days.  I know.  *gasp*.  But I do.  I love to plan my meals accordingly and portion and plan out all my fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats for the week.  It makes life easier to grab a healthy snack or make a meal when it's already done.  Fail to plan, plan to fail right?

I love to organize every part of my home. But I find my wallet feels differently. I'm always on the lookout for cheap ways to store everything in my house so it's all nicely and neatly put away.

I wouldn't exactly call it an obsession but I do buy multiple buckets, boxes, and any other type of container I can when I'm in the store.  I will always find a place for them.  And if I can't..I will MAKE a place for them.

So this is me in a nutshell:

-I adore raising my kids. I have two little boys and two little girls.
-My hubby & I own a local business and I get stuck with the paper work.
-I keep myself busy with DIY projects, cleaning, and making our house a home.
-I love the holidays and will overwhelm myself with projects to make that time the most memorable I can.
-I love changing up my house every few months.
-I take pictures of everything my kids do. I don't want to miss a moment.
-I'm a christian.
-Sometimes I'm just too lazy to make dinner, so Chinese take-out it is!
-I get more excited than my kids do when they don't have homework.
-I'm in love with furniture make-overs and re-doing furniture all around my home.
-I'm deathly afraid of bugs.
-I'm originally from New Jersey but currently living in Florida.
-I've been married for 9 wonderful years.
-I am very close with my mom.
-I love being a wife and mother and it's the most amazing job in the world.

Well, I think we've gotten to know each other a little better, don't you?  Yeah probably not.  Because all I did was talk about myself.  I apologize.   I'd love to hear about you AND from you!  You can drop me a line at itsam0msworld@yahoo.com or leave me a comment on the blog.  Or better yet, follow me on Facebook to get updates and to see my newest posts as they come out.  Looking forward to hearing from you.
