Thanksgiving has come and gone again. While I'm a little sad (and full), I was so happy to bring back our elf Harry. Last year, he threw the kids a North Pole Breakfast and they absolutely loved it. So I knew it would become a tradition year after year. It's sort of his debut, I guess.
This year, I made all the printables and details that went along with our breakfast. I wanted everything to be personalized and extra special for the kids. Plus, I kind of envisioned a polka dot and candy cane theme this year so I wanted everything to match just right.
Luckily, I have decided to include some of those printables just for you! They're easily editable just by simply opening them up in a photo editing software or by using the ol' pen and paper method. You can find them all at the end of the post :)
Lets jump into the breakfast, shall we?
My favorite part of the entire breakfast "experience" is setting everything up.
This year, the menu was kept pretty simple but sweet. And I mean that literally. It was a complete sugar overload and I was shocked that my kids could sit still at all that day. But what elf do you know brings fruit and healthy breakfast options? Certainly not our elf.
These were Strawberry Jell-o and whipped cream cups. So cute and so simple to make. Just make your jello-o according to the package instructions and fill glasses. Tilt the glass on it's side using a cupcake pan and place in the refrigerator for 4 hours or until set.
What elf wouldn't bring cookies for breakfast?
Opening their presents from Harry. My present was watching their little faces light up.
We finished off our breakfast by reading the Elf on the Shelf book.

The holidays to me is about bringing out the magic of Christmas. It's about filling their hearts with joy and excitement. Believing in the magic of Christmas fades away quick. So each year, I try my best to make it as exciting for them as I can. Christmas is about togetherness. It's about family.
One day these breakfasts, the elf experience, the little parties we throw, and even going to see Santa will all one day be a distant memory. We'll remember by pictures. We'll remember by videos. But we'll also remember by the memories we cherish and hold in our hearts forever. And that's what Christmas magic is. The spirit they'll forever hold in their hearts.
Oh my goodness, that is so adorable! That must have been the best breakfast ever!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was great! Def. a new tradition every year :)
DeleteMy oldest daughter will be 15 this january.. she just found out about Santa (and the tooth fairy, easter bunny, etc) this summer.. she is a smart girl just very innocent still. I was so surprised she still beleived after all these years. My 4th grade teacher told our class Santa wasn't real so I always tried hard to make it really special for my kids as long as I could.. Now that my daughter knows she gets to help in the fun of making it magical for her 5 younger siblings :) And I get tooth fairy help sometimes!
ReplyDeleteP.s. I love these breakfast and themed dinner ideas!! :) they are great! I think I will have our elf, Finn, debut this weekend with a breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to download these and no matter what I use to open the file, there isn't anything there. Too bad. So cute!
