Super Simple Baked Ziti

This baked ziti is so delicious and takes minutes to throw together.  I like the fact that baked ziti is something that can be prepared in the morning and popped into the oven right before dinner.  It makes dinner time go so much smoother.  While this isn't my family's original baked ziti recipe, this is a REALLY delicious dish.  When you can't decide between having pasta with alfredo sauce or pasta with marinara, have both!  That's what makes this baked ziti so awesome.  It's the best of both worlds. So I thought I'd share the recipe with you.  Pair it with some garlic bread and a salad and you have a delicious, easy, and cheap meal in little to no time at all :)

Ingredients:

  • 1 box (16 oz) ziti
  • 1 ( 15 oz) jar alfredo sauce
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley *(OPTIONAL)*
  • 1 Tbsp. red pepper flakes *(OPTIONAL)*

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook pasta according to directions on the package.  Drain.

In a large bowl, add marinara and alfredo sauces and mix together.  Add mozzarella cheese and stir.

Then add the pasta and toss to coat.

Pour into a 13x9 baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.  Remove from oven and top with shredded parmesan cheese.  Bake an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.  Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes (if you're using them).

Enjoy!
